About TrackStarlink

TrackStarlinkis an independent project that visualizes the SpaceX Starlink constellation in real time using public orbital data. Our goal is to make satellite tracking approachable for everyone — from the curious sky-watcher trying to catch a Starlink "train" overhead to the enthusiast who wants live positions and constellation statistics.

What you can do here

Watch the entire constellation move on an interactive 3D globe, open any individual satellite to see its live altitude, speed and ground track, and check our Starlink passes pages to find out when satellites are visible to the naked eye from your city. We also publish launch history, coverage and constellation statistics, plus plain-English guides.

How it works

Orbital elements (TLEs) are sourced from CelesTrak and refreshed regularly. We propagate each satellite's position with the SGP4 model (via satellite.js), and our visible-pass forecasts account for sunlight and twilight — a pass is only shown when the satellite is lit by the Sun while your sky is dark, which is when Starlink is actually visible.
